Count etiquette question

From: theendgang (hurdhut@aol.com) | Date: 2004-04-10 19:25:30 UTC
Hi everyone! I know this has been asked before, but I don't recall
the answer. We found one of our own hitch hikers today. Do we count
this as a find? We did take it, as the log book needed some
replenishment. The "Boxing Turtle" hitch hiker will be back on the
trail soon. Thanks in advance for any and all responses.

Of course you count it!! You didn't know it was there, right? You went to the
'trouble' of getting the box, right? You get the count!!

Could you tell us where you picked it up?

I'm not sure where I fall on this subject of counting it...

...Did you count it as a Planted LB? If not, then count it as Found,
I would think.

according to LetterBoxing.org FAQ (and I hope I don't get in trouble
for cut-n-paste the following excerpt w/o permission):
"the creator may count it as a P, while everyone (except the creator)
who finds it in the future, regardless of where, counts it as an F."

But then I like the reply from Doublesaj - that you didn't know it
was there.

Or create a new category "FM" (found mine!)

I don't think there is a LB auditor - so go with your conscience.
